Are successful people always motivated? Maybe previously. Some time before in their lives, perhaps it was the motivation which got them started in the first place. There would have had to have been a point in time where those people had been motivated to make a move and decided to actually do something and or make a change.
However, the will to get started and to carry on is admirable but rarely seen these days. Success can only positively be measured if they have remained passionate and true throughout the journey and have finished strong whilst having completed their goals. Although there will inevitably be difficulties and obstacles, it is only the ones that go through failure without losing confidence and enthusiasm who will reach their resolutions.
Although motivation can be highly beneficial to being successful, not all people continue to be motivated, but are merely driven by the need of something that they wish to gain for their own selfish or greedy needs. In this case, they are driven by the need of receiving payment, which is their own form of motivation. This can be somewhat effective, but to an insubstantial degree. Unless the person/s truly enjoy the tasks and take it upon them as such of an enjoyable hobby rather than another 'something-to-do', then the work performance will rise indefinitely.
Therefore, it is rather quite better in most ways to be motivated in order to be successful, though it is not needed in order to be dubbed as successful.
